MDA Space To Build Antennas For Swissto12 HummingSats

MDA Space, a leading provider of space solutions, has been awarded a contract to design, manufacture, and integrate antenna systems for the Swissto12 HummingSats constellation.

The HummingSats are a fleet of small satellites being developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ). These satellites are designed for various scientific and commercial applications, including Earth observation, communication, and technology demonstration.

MDA Space will be responsible for developing custom antenna systems that meet the specific requirements of the HummingSats. These antennas will enable the satellites to communicate with ground stations and other spacecraft, as well as collect data from their payloads.

“MDA Space has an established reputation for leveraging our best-in-class design and manufacturing capabilities to support safety critical missions and we look forward to working with Swissto12 to extend these capabilities,” said Mike Greenley, CEO of MDA Space. “Our track record of delivering on multiple constellation missions to both government and commercial partners positions us to further capitalize on repeat orders in this growing GEO smallsat market.

The contract with MDA Space is a significant step forward for the Swissto12 HummingSats project. The company's expertise in antenna design and manufacturing will ensure that the satellites have the necessary capabilities to achieve their mission objectives.
