Dana Weigel Takes The Helm: NASA Appoints First Woman To Lead International Space Station Program

Weigel brings a wealth of experience to this crucial role. She has served as the deputy program manager since April 2021, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ISS and playing a key role in international collaboration efforts. Throughout her career at NASA, she has held various positions within the ISS program, including leading the integration of the Orion spacecraft with the Space Launch System.
